This blog is not AI-generated; I'm writing it under my name, Jorge Guillén, a classically trained musician from Caracas, Venezuela. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to join the Kondarte Team, the creators and sponsors of Classica. 

I define "Classical Music" on behalf of our team as a cultural movement in which knowledge, wisdom, and good taste blend to touch listeners' souls with masterpieces that transcend iconoclastic boundaries. In other words, classical music should be defined as any musical form that transcends the course of time, where artistic, social, and emotional endurance are of high caliber to remain part of our cultural heritage.

I often heard the saying that classical music is for older people and should be listened to only at funerals and during Holy Week. In those cases, I usually mention that Mozart died at age 35 and add the remark that he did not play the electric guitar! Believe me, a few folks have told me that they have an LP where Mozart played the guitar in a rock band.

Classical music is for anyone who desires to embrace a cultural heritage in which masterpieces were created by celebrated composers who dedicated their lives to enriching our lives with exuberant and glorious symphonies, mesmerizing sonatas, flamboyant operas, and other fascinating musical forms.

Danza Dominicana" is a beautifully expressive, classical solo piano composition written by the Dominican composer Licinio Mancebo.
